Under 15 Ukraine’s team caused the big upset in the opening round in Katowice

Team Ukraine consisting of Yehor BORSHCHEVSKYI Nazarii SOLODKYI and Onufrii HOIAN created a major upset in the Under 15 Boys’ event at the ORLEN European Youth Championships. They overcame the top-seeded team from Austria in a closely contested five-match duel.

SOLODKYI won both of his matches against Petr HODINA and Julian RZIHAUSCHEK while BORSHCHEVSKYI added another victory to the scoreline by defeating HODINA as well.

In the second round Ukraine achieved a straight-match victory over Serbia.
