Mariia TAILAKOVA showed brave face in Lys Lez Lannoy

In the TAMANNEFTEGAS European Champions Legue Women in Lys Lez Lannoy CP Lyssois Lille Métropole lost five matches battle against Metz TT.

Russia’s representative in the Metz’s jersey Mariia TAILAKOVA had pivotal role in the Metz’s triumph tonight. She beat Linda BERGSTROM at the very beginning of the match after being stretched to full distance 3:2 (11:8 6:11 11:5 7:11 6:3). In the decisive match Mariia overcame Turkey’s Sibel ALTINKAYA 3:1 (11:9 5:11 14:12 11:3).

Adia DICONU added another point to the scoreboard with the win over Sibel 3:1 (9:11 11:5 11:2 13:11).

Andrea TODOROVIC overcame WU Jiaduo in the third duel to narrow the 2:0 gap. She succeeded after four games (11:8 9:11 11:8 11:7). Linda pushed to de decisive game after victory over DIACONU 3:1 (11:8 11:8 7:11 11:9). However Metz withstood this spirited comeback with Mariia’s great performance at the end.
