ETTU Executive Board has awarded the 2024 European Championships to Innsbruck

he ETTU Executive Board has awarded the 2024 European Championships to the Olympic city of Innsbruck the capital of the Tyrol region in Austria. The Championships will be played from 15 to 20 October 2024.

“ETTU is very happy to have the Championships in the Olympic city of Innsbruck. We recognised the Austrian Table Tennis Association as a reliable organiser and we all remember the 2013 European Championships as a great event. ETTU is proud to return to Austria with our most important Championships “ said ETTU Acting President Pedro MOURA.

“We would like to thank the Executive Board for the trust they have placed in us to organise this prestigious event. We are very proud that we can host the next Individual European Championships after this successful Championships in Munich. We invite all member associations and spectators from all over Europe to Austria for the 2024 European Individual Championships from 15 to 20 October 2024 ” said President of the Austrian Federation Wolfgang GOTSCHKE.

With his experience as two times European champion in Team’s and Doubles Stefan FEGERL will be on duty as sport director in Innsbruck.

“As former table tennis world class player I am happy that we have secured the European Table Tennis Championships for Austria. I will give my best to ensure best conditions for the participating players.” said Vice President for Sport FEGERL

After one of the best presentations shown recently General Secretary Mathias NEUWIRTH was pleased with the outcome of the meeting with the ETTU Executive Board.

“It is a great honor for Austria to be the host for the European Championships 2024. Using the experience of the European Championships 2013 in Schwechat and of two ITTF World Tour Platinum Events we will do our best to organise excellent Championships for players spectators match officials and all involved people. We are looking forward seeing you in Austria 2024.”
