EXTRAORDINARY CONGRESS – CHANGE TO THE CONSTITUTION

The ETTU Executive Board has today agreed to convene an Extraordinary Congress meeting on Saturday 2nd October 2021 at Grand Hotel Italia Cluj Napoca ROU commencing at 10:00 local time (EEST).

In accordance with Constitution 5.1.13.2 notice of the meeting is a calendar month before the date of the meeting.

In accordance with Constitution 5.1.13.3 the Executive Board proposes the deletion of Constitution 5.6.5 which states ‘No person shall be at the same time serve as a member of the Executive Board and as a member of the ITTF Executive Committee’.

Rationale: to allow an ETTU Executive Board member to serve as a member of the ITTF Executive Committee at the same time and concurrently.

In accordance with Constitution 5.9.5 the implementation date of the change to the Constitution to be immediate that is 2nd October 2021.

The Extraordinary Congress meeting will precede the Congress meeting previously announced.
