Top Spin Messina Fontalba showed great team spirit

After two days of play in Verkhnaya Pyshma Top Spin Messina Fontalba emerged successfully at the top of the Group B in the Table Tennis European Champions League Men Stage 2. Club from Italy was stretched to full distance in both their matches against Solex-Consult Wiener Neustadt and GV Hennebont TT but managed to secure the victories in decisive encounters.

Frane Tomislav KOJIC scored both points for Austria’s club Solex-Consult Wiener Neustadt whilst on the other side of the table Marco Joao MONTEIRO RECH DALDOSSO and Yaroslav ZHMUDENKO all managed to score for Top Spin Messina Fontalba.

“It is the first time that we are playing in the Champions League and we are one step close to reach the best 8 clubs in Europe. There is one more day ahead of us and chance to make historical result. We showed great team spirit at this tournament ” said Joao MONTEIRO.

Today was the day for the marathons in Russia. Hosts TTSC UMMC suffered in five matches against French GV Hennebont TT. Liam PITCHFORD win both points for the hosts against Omar ASSAR and Anders LIND but both of them seized their opportunities against Tomislav PUCAR whilst Sadi ISMAILOVbeat Jonathan GROTH.
