ETTU Development Webinar 2021: a New Year a New Record For ETTU

The first online activity of the year 2021 ETTU Development Webinar concluded today with a record- number of participants. 145 coaches and players from 40 National Associations followed the Zoom session. The event was also the first activity which brings coaches and players and other officials together for an educational activity.

The webinar’s subject has been “How to keep the focus on the player’s performance (not on the result)?” the lecturers from Croatia were Prof. Amir ZULIC and Prof. Ivana SADAIC. ETTU Development Manager Prof. Neven CEGNAR and ETTU Development Webinar Officer Samet POLAT has been the project management team of the activity.

The session has begun with an opening speech and then the lecturers have made a brilliant presentation. It has been proved clearly during the activity that European Table Tennis community is always eager to improve and develop for our sport.

ETTU Development Manager Neven CEGNAR said “I would like to thank our experts Ivana SADAIC and Amir ZULIC for the fantastically prepared presentation and even better lecture as well as all my other colleagues from ETTU. The webinar was a great incentive to all our coaches players and other table tennis staff who participated in this webinar to get a better vision and the ability to control the quality and intensity of attention during the match on one of the most important topics in the psychological preparation of players. Many thanks also to my co-worker in the implementation of this webinar Samet POLAT.”

ETTU Development Officer Samet POLAT added “This year has begun with a great participant record for us with a perfect activity. European Table Tennis community has once more proved that Europe has a strong passion for table tennis; Europe wants to improve and develop more and to keep working no matter what conditions are. We are proud to make a brilliant activity like this so I’d like to thank ETTU President Mr. LEVITIN ETTU Executive Board and our excellent lecturers: Prof. Amir ZULIC and Ivana SADAIC a lot.”

The European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) is the governing body of the sport of table tennis in Europe, and is the only authority recognized for this purpose by the International Table Tennis Federation. The ETTU deals with all matters relating to table tennis at a European level, including the development and promotion of the sport in the territories controlled by its 58 member associations, and the organization of continental table tennis competitions, including the European Championships.
