Reigning champions from Tarnobrzeg secured penultimate stage

European Champions League Women quarterfinal return leg

Last year’s European Champions League Women title winners from Poland KTS Enea Siarka Tarnobrzeg overcame Czech Republic’s SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin in the second leg of the quarterfinal to secure passage to the next stage. In the opening leg they needed full five matches to beat Hodonin.

Last week Tarnobrzeg played without Elizabeta SAMARA who was key player tonight. Romania’s star overcame Solomiya BRATEYKO in the opening match and beat JEE Hyyung Min in the fourth match.

“It was good match and it was especially nice to play in front of home supporters. In the first match against BRATEYKO I wanted so much to win so I make things difficult for myself ” said SAMARA.”Overall I am very happy how we all played and fight.”

HAN Ying also beat JEE Hyyung Min whilst Viktoria PAVLOVICH struggled against Natalia PARTYKA. Player from Belarus won the opening game then next two went on the Polish Olympian’s account. Natalia had an opportunity to finish the match sooner but after 2:1 and 9:9 PAVLOVICH pushed for decisive game. PARTYKA managed to finish the match with the victory.

KTS Enea Siarka Tarnobrzeg will play against the winner of the match TTC Berlin Eastside vs. UCAM Cartagena TM (Feb 14 18:30).
