Linz opens new season by win over Leka Enea

2019/20 European Champions League Women

 

Former two-time ECLW champion Linz AG Froschberg has opened new season by home victory over ECLW debutant Leka Enea Tenis de Mesa 3:1. It was good team work as each of domestic players contributed with one point.

 

Spanish side secured early lead thanks to LIN Chia-Chin who overcame the best Linz’s player Sofia POLCANOVA after full five games. Austrian rising star the best ranked European player (current world no. 16) managed to tie the score at 2-2 but guest won decisive set by a narrow margin.

 

All three fallowing games have been decided in straight games: Yui HAMAMOTO – Maria XIAO 3:0 Linda BERGSTROM – Roxana MIhaela IAMANDI 3:0 and Sofia POLCANOVA – Maria XIAO 3:0.
