Kosovo is rising Breast Cancer Awareness through table tennis

Kosovo Table Tennis Association on the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month has organized the “PINK PONG Breast Cancer Awareness” tournament for people affected by this disease.

Pristina’s table tennis hall turned pink on the 28th of October with more than 100 participants that played table tennis for 3 hours while listening music and enjoying some light snacks. They were not professional table tennis players; they were women that are fighting to cure from Breast Cancer.

“Federation have decided to organize such event where we have invited people who are affected by this disease and people who may be affected in the future in order to raise awareness for early screening given that diagnostics the earliest is equal to the saving of life” said Kastriot ORANA organizer of the PINK Pong tournament.

President of KTTA Mr. Nehat ÇITAKU welcomed the participants and invited them to play table tennis at least 2- 3 times a week and through physical activities you will fight and prevent such disease.

“You are welcome to be part of our family our association. We will offer you the venue for free so you can come and play table tennis at least 2 to 3 times a week and we want you to feel here as in your home” said President ÇITAKU.
