ECLW: Carole GRUNDISCH secures win for Metz TT

European Champions League Women Round 3

 

The 2017/18 ETTU Cup Women winner Metz TT beat 2012/13 ECLW runner-up SH-ITB Budaörsi 2i SC in the concluding clash of the ECLW Round 3. French side no. 10 seed won 3:1 thanks to Carole GRUNDISCH who beat both Sabina SURJAN and Szandra PERGEL. Third point came from Romania’s rising star Adina DIACONU while Maria FAZEKAS won the only point for Hungarian team.

 

It was a hard week for SH-ITB Budaörsi 2i SC as they played two matches in five days first one against reigning champion KTS Enea Siarka Tarnobrzeg (Polish club won 3:1). After Round 3 Tarnobrzeg has 2-0 win-loss record Metz 1-1 Budaörsi 0-2.
