Mattias FALCK: Goal is to qualify for World Cup

CCB Europe Top 16 Cup Montreux February 2-3

 

Sweden’s Mattias FALCK seeded at no. 3 at the upcoming event in Montreux is looking forward to his third consecutive CCB Europe Top 16 Cup to be held on February 2nd and 3rd. Player of French club AS Pontoise Cergy reached quarter-final last year in the same Switzerland’s city.

 

Two years ago you had lost in the opening round last year you advanced to the quarter-finals and what is your target at the 2019 CCB Europe Top 16 Cup?

 

“My goal is to get top 3 to get a podium place and a to qualify for World Cup.”

 

How do you see the list of 2019 favorites who is the top candidate for the title?

 

“I think there is quite many players that can win the title but I think Timo BOLL will have to carry the favorite for this year’s title.”

 

Your personal goal in 2019?

 

“To keep pushing my level and get into top 10 on the World ranking.”

 

Are you satisfied with your current shape?

 

“It’s feels better and better for each day. I believe that in one week I will be in a very good shape and ready for Top 16.”

 

Current World no. 13 FALCK reached his best spot two months ago being no. 12.
