TTCLM: Post SV Mühlhausen completes quarter-final list

2019/20 Table Tennis Champions League Men Round 6

 

Post SV Mühlhausen has completed 2019/20 TTCLM quarter-final list in spite of being defeated in Russia by the reigning champion Fakel Gazprom Orenburg 3:0. German club got unexpected „support” from Spanish side Leka Enea who overcame VS Angers TT 3:2. French team went to Spain with its second line-up and suffered third defeat in a row.

 

The 2012 TTCLM semi-finalist Saarbrucken secured top spot of Group C by winning decisive clash against KS Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki 3:2. German club showed good team work as each host player contributed with one point: Kun SHANG – Marek BADOWSKI 3:0 Darko JORGIC – Pavel SIRUCEK 3:1 Tomas POLANSKY – Marek BADOWSKI 3:0. Greek Panagiotis GIONIS was the only winning player in the Poland’s team.

 

Ping Pong Club Villeneuvois booked third spot in Group C after 3:2 away win over GDCS Juncal. Vassily LAKEEV won two matches for the guests against Andrey BUKIN and Saheed IDOWU. Nima ALAMIAN defeated Andrey BUKIN 3:1 in the decisive fifth encounter.

 

Ricardo WALTHER paved the way to 6th Borussia’s victory in a row as he beat two Hennebont’s players Konstantinos ANGELAKIS and Quentin ROBINOT both in straight games. German team won 3:1 and third point came from Kristian KARLSSON who overcame Georgios STAMATOUROS.

 

Third placed team of Group D Sporting Clube De Portugal beat away STK Starr Croatia 3:1 after two wins of Quadri ARUNA. The 16-year-old Croatian player Leon ŠANTEK has recorded his very first TTCLM victory defeating Paulo GUILHERME in four games.
