Croatia’s town of Varazdin will host European U-21 Table Tennis Championship in 2020

ETTU is proud to announce that Croatia’s town of Varazdin will host European Under 21 Championship in March 2020.

“I am delighted to announce that the 2020 European Under 21 Championships will take place in the lovely Croatian city of Varazdin. I am more than convinced that we will experience another summit of Croatian organisational table tennis expertise and hospitality next spring. I wish all involved good luck” stated ETTU Prtesident Ronald KRAMER.

Varazdin has already hosted ITTF Croatia Open World Junior and Cadet Premium circuit for five times.

“Everyone was pleased with the hospitality and conditions. It is also great opportunity for promotion. City hosted World and Euro Handball in 2009 and in 2012; Davis Cup in 2013 and in 2018. During past years we outgrew into the leading north-western Croatian hosting City for such professional sport Events ” said Croatian Table Tennis Association President Zlatko POSPIS.

Club Starr will be the host.

“U 21 is very important competition which provides the opportunity for young players to bridge the gap between junior and senior categories. Good example is Tomislav PUCAR who was European Under 21 champion. It launched his career “said STK Starr Manager Ronald REDJEP. “The club is trying to make unity with all Northern European cities. Good example is European Handball Championships.”
