At the fothcoming 2018 European Youth Top 10 Serbia’s Sabina SURJAN will play as top seed in the Junior Gorls Singles Event. Portugal’s Vila Real will host 40 elite players this weekend in boys and girls junior and cadet category.

Sabina tops the list which includes the names of Anna WERGRZYN of Poland Franziska SCHREINER of Germany Andreea DRAGOMAN of Romania her compatriot tania PLAIAN Lucie GAUTHIER of France Zdena BLASKOVA of Czech Republic Andrea PAVLOVIC of Croatia Tijana JOKIC of Serbia and host nation representative celia SILVA.

“Against all girls I recorded wins and defeats in my career. It will be very close fight in each match in Portugal. I do not feel much pressure regarding my seeding position but right now I just hope I can reach one of top four positions ” stated Sabina SURJAN.

Sabina had great season so far. She won the medal in doubles at the European Youth Championships and previously qualified for the Youth Olympic Games this October.

“I feel like I exploded after those qualifications. It gave me great boost of self confidence energy and will to play. I just want to play more and more ” said SURJAN.

And her wish was granted. This summer she was a part of the ITTF training camp for the YOG players but before Buenos Aires she will play in Portugal at Top 10 and at the ITTF European Individual Championships in Alicante as a member of the Serbian senior team.
