ECLW Round 3: Only Sporting celebrates at home

Metz Clairefontaine and Hodinin won their ECLW R3 matches away

 

Round 3 of European Champions League Women was successful for the visiting sides as three out of four teams won their games away on October 27th: Metz Clairefontaine and Hodinin. Only Sporting managed to win its match on home soil after full five encounters against TT Saint-Quentionois.

 

Actual ETTU Cup winner Metz beat 2013 ECLW runner-up SH-ITB Budaörsi 2i Sport Club in Group A as Carol GRUNDISCH DING Yaping and Adina DIACONU won one point each. GRUNDISCH paved the way to victory to French side after tense opening game against Szandra PERGEL extended to full distance.

 

SHIAO Jeni led ETIVAL Clairefontaine ASRTT to its very first ECLW victory in Group B as she overcame two UCAM Cartagena’s players Maria XIAO and Silvija ERDELJI who beat Hana MATELOVA in the opener. Maria DOLGIKH prevailed against Viktoria LEBEDEVA to secure third point for French side.

 

LI Fen Daniela MONTEIRO-DODEAN and Zhenqi BARTHEL APOLONIA showed good team work in the Sporting’s victory against TT Saint-Quentinois 3:2 while ZHANG Mo reached both points for French team. Turning point was third match between Zhenqi BARTHEL APOLONIA and Polina MIKHAILOVA when host won after full five games. It was first ever ECLW win of Sporting in the ECLW.

 

WU Jue has provided early advantage for LZ LINZ Froschberg but Austrian team lost to SKST Mart Hodinin Stavoimpex 1:3. GUO Lin took two points for Czech Republic’s side while Natalia PARTYKA secured one reversing the score from 1-2 to 3-2 against HO Tin-Tin in the third match.
