TTCLM: Pontoise one more time in quarter-finals

Round 5: Pontoise – Ostrava 3:1 Walter Wels – Dzialdowo 3:2 Hennebont – Eslovs 3:0

 

Former two-time TTCLM winner AS Pontoise Cergy has booked its place for the knockout phase as it beat TTC Ostrava 2016 3:1 at home. Two more games were held tonight November 29th: SPG Walter Wels – KS Dekorglass Dzialdowo 3:2 GV Hennebont – Eslovs Ai Bordtennis 3:0.

 

Patrick BAUM who was TTCLM winner during his time in Borussia Dusseldorf has provided two points for Pontoise. German player beat both Petr KORBEL and Tomas TREGLER who lost his game against Can AKKUZU. Simon BELIK overcame Tristan FLORE after full five games of the third encounter. French club has improved its Group A win-loss record to 4-1 while Czech club continues without any victory.

 

SPG Walter Wels upset Dekorglass Dzialdowo and now all teams in Group B have two wins at least. Korea’s PARK Ganghyeon was crucial man of host side as he upset actual world no. 8 WONG Chun Ting from Hong Kong and beat WANG Yang in the ultimate clash. Deni KOZUL added third point for Austrian team against Jiri VRABLIK. Now both teams have 2-3 win-loss record.

 

With second consecutive 3:0 win in Group D French club Hennebont kept its chances for the knockout stage. Each player of the host side won their matches in four games: FAN Sheng Peng vs. Ioannis SGOUROPOULOS Cedric NUYTINCK vs. Truls MOREGARDH Georgios STAMATOUROS – Zhang FUZHOU.
