TTCLM Round 5: Decisive games for top spot of Group B and Group C

UMMC (3-1) hosts Saarbrucken (4-0) in Group B while Ochsenhausen (3-1) welcomes Stella Sport La Romagne (3-1) in Group C. All eight Round 5 matches will be held from Wednesday (Nov 29) to Friday (Dec 1)

 

TTCLM Round 5 scheduled from this Wednesday (Nov 29) to Friday (Dec 1) could be decisive one concerning top spots in some groups and positions which lead to the knockout phase. Two tense games should be expected in Verkhnaya Pyshma (Russia) and Ochsenhausen (Germany): UMMC (3-1 score) hosts Saarbrucken (4-0) in Group B while Ochsenhausen (3-1) welcomes Stella Sport La Romagne (3-1) in Group C.

 

Reigning TTCLM champion Fakel Gazprom (4-1) and newcomer Sporting (3-1) have already booked their place in the quarter-final stage. Russian side hosts its well known rival and double TTCLM winner AS Pontoise Cergy (1-3) whilst the best Portugal`s club travels to Poland to face Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki (0-4).

Sporting: ARUNA 2-3 MONTEIRO 5-1 CARVALHO 3-1

AS Pontoise Cergy: FREITAS 2-3 AKKUZU 1-3 STOYANOV 1-3

Bogoria Grodzisk: YOSHIDA 0-1 SIRUCEK 0-5 GORAK 0-3 HAN 1-2 BANKOSZ 0-1

 

UMMC suffered its unique defeat (3:1) away in Round 2 game against Saarbrucken (4-0) hence the upcoming clash between these two clubs could decide Group B winner. Patrick FRANZISKA was fantastic in their first meeting beating both Alexander SHIBAEV and Andrej GACINA in straight games. But GACINA improved his form since that winning both his encounters few days ago against Chartres. Two former TTCLM runner-ups will meet in France where Chartres (1-3) welcomes Eslovs Al Bordtennis (0-4).

UMMC: GACINA 4-1 YOSHIMURA 2-0 SHIBAEV 2-4 VLASOV 2-1

Chartres: GARDOS 2-2 LORENTZ 0-4 A. ROBINOT 1-2 GERELL 1-3

Eslovs: SVENSSON 0-4 XU 3-2 MOREGARDH 1-2 KOSIBA 0-1

 

The 2009 TTCLM runner-up Ochsenhausen (3-1) upset by Ostrava in the Round 4 seeks recover against last year`s ETTU Cup winner Stella Sport La Romagne (3-1). Both teams suffered unexpected defeats in the latest domestic league games thus upcoming match will be a good chance to restore self-confidence. Czech Republic`s Ostrava (2-2) aims its third win in last four rounds playing against Walter Wels (0-4).

Borussia Dusseldorf (3-1) overtook control in Gropup D with Round 4 win against Hennebont and now has a chance to confirm its place in the quarter-final. Timo BOLL & Co. face TTCLM newcomer Dekorglass Dzialdowo (1-3) while Hennebont (2-2) and Roskilde (2-2) are going to fight in possibly decisive clash for the knockout phase.
