Seamaster ECLW Round 4: Hodonin beats reigning champion

GROUP A: TuS Bad Driburg – KTS Tarnobrzeg 0:3 GROUP D: SKST Mart Hodonin – TTC Berlin Eastside 3:0 Grand-Quevilly – Dr. ČASL 1:3

 

SKST Mart Hodonin beat reigning TTCLM champion TTC Berlin Eastside 3:0 in the Round 4 of the 2017/18 Seamaster ECLW. German side played without world. no 19 SHAN Xiaona and no. 35 Petrissa SOLJA (injury) but however it`s big success for Czech Republic`s side.

 

GUO Lin defeated Shiho MATSUDAIRA in five games of the opening clash. Renata STRBIKOVA managed to reverse the score from 0:2 to 3:2 against Georgina POTA while Matalya PARTYKA overcame Katrin MUHLBACH in straight games.

 

No. 1 seed KTS Tarnobrzeg secured its place in the quarter-final as they beat away TuS Bad Driburg. The opening game was the most exciting one. Elizabeta SAMARA 2015 Women`s Singles European Championships gold medalist defeated 2013 Junior Girls European Youth Championships winner Nina MITTELHAM after full five games. In other two encounters HAN Ying and LI Qian beat Elena WEGGERMAYER and Sarah DE NUTTE respectively.

 

Dr. CASL will also play in the quarter-final stage. They have defeated Grand-Quevilly 3:1 in France to improve their Group C score to 3-0.
