Chartres ASTT won its 4th title in France

The 2016/17 French Pro A league

 

Chartres ASTT is newly crowned champion of French Pro A League. They secured the title thanks to 3:1 win against Angers Vaillante in the penultimate round.

 

Robert GARDOS provided two points defeating both Christophe LEGOUT (in straight games) and Jens LUNDQVIST (in four). LUNDQVIST lost to Par GERELL after five sets of second encounter. Actual individual European champion Emmanuel LEBESSON was extended to full distance by Portuguese Joao MONTEIRO.

 

Chartres won fourth title in its history after 2012 2013 and 2014. They had very hard schedule in May playing against three TTCLM participants Hennebont GV (0:3 home defeat) Angers Vaillante (3:1 home win) and AS Pontoise Cergy (to be held in the last 18th round Jun 6th) as well as recently crowned ETTU Cup winner La Romagne (3:0 away win).
