Diogo CARVALHO and SHAO Jieni champions of Portugal

Portugal National Championships

 

Diogo CARVALHO (club SL Benfica) and SHAO Jieni (Ala Nun’Alvares) won the titles at the Portugal National Championships which was held at Europarque in Santa Maria de Feira. CARVALHO overcame defending champion Diogo CHEN after full seven games to regain his title. Ultimate set was decided by narrow margin.

 

Regarding Women Singles Event SHAO Jieni eliminated last year`s winner Olga CHRAMKO in the semis. In the final clash she prevailed against Leila OLIVEIRA in five games.

 

Men Singles Semi-finals: Diogo CARVALHO – Andre SILVA 4:2 (12:10 11:9 7:11 5:11 11:6 11:5) Diogo CHEN – Diogo SILVA 4:2 (7:11 13:11 9:11 11:7 14:12 19:17). Final: Diogo CARVALHO – Diogo CHEN 4:3 (11:7 3:11 14:12 11:6 7:11 7:11 11:9).

 

Women Singles Semi-finals: SHAO Jieni – Olga CHRAMKO 4:1 (11:6 9:11 11:7 11:4 11:9) Catia MARTINS – Leila OLIVEIRA 4:3 (12:10 11:6 11:9 5:11 4:11 8:11 11:8). Final: SHAO Jieni – Leila OLIVEIRA 4:1 (14:12 11:5 11:6 8:11 11:3).
