1st academic year of the University Degree Study Program in Sports Coaching

The practical course as a part of 1st academic year of the University Degree Study Program in Sports Coaching was held from 6th -13th of June

 

The practical course as a part of 1st academic year of the University Degree Study Program in Sports Coaching (designed for table tennis coaches and players) was held in Split from 6th -13th of June with participation of 18 students from all over the world.

 

The main theme was mainly about Methodology and basic training principles of coaching youth categories together with methodology of both technical-tactical training and long-term development/conditioning of physical abilities of youth players through planned and organized training process.

 

For some parts of table tennis practical part of the program Faculty of Kinesiology engaged two well-known coaching names Mr. Richard Prause Sports director Of German TT association and ex Head coach of Werner Schlager Academy and Neven Cegnar ETTU Development manager. They both enthusiastically agreed to help this new study program which started last year under the patronage of ITTF and ETTU by providing students with their vast professional knowledge and coaching experience.

 

Beside the above mentioned coaches some of the professors who have already lectured on the program or will be in charge of some courses in the later stages of the program (prof. Miran Kondrič – ITTF SSMC chairman prof. Damir Sekulić and assistant professor Goran Munivrana also provided some lectures from a different areas related to the main theme of this first practical part of the program.
