Reigning champion wins comfortably

ECLW quarter-finals (1st leg): ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly – TTC Berlin Eastside 1:3

 

Defending ECLW champion TTC Berlin Eastside beat away ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly 3:1 in the first leg of 2016/17 European Champions League Women quarter-final. Returning match will be held on February 10th.

 

World No. 34 Georgina POTA did a nice job for her side in the opening clash as she overcame TIAN Yuan (No. 138) in a confident style losing just seven points in total.

 

Shiho ONO took first set against Berlin`s best ranked player Petrissa SOLJA (No. 15) but guest answered with three games in a row. Galia DVORAK (No. 98) upset SHAN Xiaona (No. 21) in the third encounter after four sets while SOLJA concluded the clash in France by her victory against TIAN.
