Berlin Cartagena Grand-Quvilly and Tarnobrzeg on their way to the next stage

All four ECLW Round 4 matches were held this evening

 

Four clubs have booked their places in the quarter-final stage after tonight`s Round 4 matches of 2016/17 European Champions League Women: TTC Berlin Eastside UCAM Cartagena ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly and KTS Siarka-ZOT Tarnobrzeg.

 

Reigning champion and top seed TTC Berlin Eastside reached its third consecutive victory in the Group A as they beat away Postas Sport Egyesulet 3:0. Al three matches were finished in straight games. Georgina POTA did a nice job in the opening clash defeating former both European champion in Women`s Singles Event and Champions League winner LI Jiao.

 

UCAM Cartagena recorded one more clear victory in the Group B playing away against ECLW newcomer TuS bad Driburg. Tetyana BILENKO Mattilda EKHOLM and Mario XIAO beat Nine MITTELHAM Sara DE NUTTE and Qi SHI respectively. Double ECLW winner Linz AG Froschberg is other quarter-finalist from Group B in spite of being free in this round.

 

Last season`s runner-up and actual No. 2 seed KTS Siarka-ZOT Tarnobrzeg had successful night in Czech Republic. SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin opened the clash by Renata STRBIKOVA`s win against Andrea TODOROVIC but World No. 8 HAN Ying with two points and Kinga STEFANSKA with one provided victory for Polish champion. Other Group D quarter-finalist is Metz TT who was free in this round.

 

Regarding Group C ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly joined Szekszard AC in the next stage. French club overcame BURSA BÜYÜKŞEHİR BELEDİYESPOR 3:1.
