Cartagena ready for spectacular clash

Spanish club hosts KTS SPAR Zamek Tarnobrzeg in the 1st semifinal leg of 2015/16 ECLW on March 11th (18:00 CET). Manager PEREZ: „We’ll enjoy in a great show”

 

Spanish UCAM Cartagena is proud of being for the very first time in the ECLW semifinal but like all ambitious clubs they are determined to fight for the more alluring reward. Their opponent is the actual ETTU Cup winner and 2015/16 ECLW second seed KTS SPAR Zamek Tarnobrzeg and first leg will be held on March 11th (18:00 CET) in Spain.

 

„Zamek Tarnobrzeg is a very strong team with some of the best players among European teams. It will be a very beautiful and spectacular game” stated Cartagena’s Coach Adriana.

 

Manager Enrique PEREZ added:

 

„We are very pleased because we did not expect to reach this far in the Champions League in our first participation the Polish team is very strong and will be very difficult they have eliminated the champion and are favorites. But we will enjoy a great show”.

 

SHEN Yanfei WANG Zhipei Ruta PASKAUSKIENE Iulia NECULA and Maria XIAO have been compelling in the quarterfinals. They beat twice TT Saint Quentin in the quarter-final (3:0 home 3:2 away). Since defeat against SVNO STROCK in the opening round (August 24th) Spanish side won five games in a row having 3-1 score in the Group B.

 

In the other semifinal two double ECLW winners will play one against another: Linz AG Froschberg – TTC Berlin Eastside (17:00 CET). Linz won the titles in 2009 and 2013 while German champion did it in 2012 and 2014.
