PERSSON in the Wall of Fame in his birth place

Table tennis legend from Sweden was awarded by Halmstad Local Community during LIEBHERR 2015 ITTF World Cup

 

Former both European and World champion Jorgen PERSSON was inducted in the Wall of Fame at the Halmstad Arena. Local community recognized him not just as a top class athlete but moreover as a true sportsman and real ambassador of the best human values.

Swede 49 year old became just second ever athlete with this award after handball player Bengt Bona HANSSON. Both were born in Halmstad which is the precondition to be nominated for this acknowledgment.
