Natalia BAJOR finally clinched long desired gold

Marie MIGOT of France and WAN Yuan of Germany re second and third

 

Natalia BAJOR of Poland won the bronze in Tours last year. In Buzau at the ROMSTAL European Youth Top 10 Tournament she went two steps higher to reach the top place at the medal rostrum in Junior Girls Singles Event.

 

Polish player left behind Marie MIGOT of France and WAN Yuan of Germany.

 

Marie MIGOT Alina NIKITCHANKA and Natalia BAJOR commenced the last day of the tournament with five wins out of six matches. In the seventh round MIGOT opened the door for success by beating one of the main adversaries Alina NIKITCHANKA. In five games duel in which three games concluded by narrowest of margins she prevailed by staying calm and focused.

 

However MIGOT lost her encounter against BAJOR in earlier stage of the tournament. In addition in superb finish Polish player overcame the top seeded Adina DIACONU in the ultimate match of the tournament.

 

“I am so happy that I won this title. I had a bronze medal last year but I never managed to clinch gold in singles at the International level ” said BAJOR.

 

Natalia had very impressive row of wins. It was only Alina NIKITCHANKA of Belarus who beat her in Buzau.

 

“I was afraid of that match. In addition the one against Adina was very difficult for me. I know if I lost it I will lose the title; ad it was the last match at the tournament.”
