Hard day for Russia’s Anastasia KOLISH

Andreea DRAGOMAN still unbeaten

 

The only unbeaten player in the Cadet Girls Singles Event is Andreea DRAGOMAN of Romania. Top seed is playing according to her rankings showing no signs of weakness. In six rounds after two days of play she recorded six wins. She lost only four games in two matches of the first day. Today she showed no mercy against Tania PLAIN Lucie GAUTHIER and Elina RUB.

 

Anastasia KOLISH of Russia followed Andreea with the same score until the fifth Round. Until that moment she was severely tested against Emma MARN of Croatia when she was 3:0 up before Croatia’s representative recovered to level but eventually Russia’s player prevailed. Against Ellen HOLMSTEN of Sweden she was also 0:2 down recovered pushed the match to decisive game but Swede showed no intention of relaxing her grip.

 

“I am very happy with my game here. I won the close games. I proved I can maintain my focus ” said HOLMSTEN.

 

HOLMSTEN beat Leili MOSTAFAVI in the last match of the day.

 

The last minute replacement at the Event Tania PLAIN of Romania was keen to take fully advantage of her 6 matches appearance in Buzau. In the opening match of the day she overcame Christina KALLBERG of Sweden in six games duel. However against teammate and top seed Andreea DRAGOMAN she was not able to repeat the success before she beat Lucie GAUTHIER of France.

 

Another substitute Emma MARN of Croatia put third seed Anastasia KOLISH of Russia under severe pressure in the full distance fourth round match and she did the same against Leili MOSTAFAVI of France.
