Berlin too strong for Bursa

Top seeded club of the 2015/16 ECLW beat away 3:0 newcomer from Turkey in the Round 2

Berlin Eastside the top seeded club in the ongoing ECLW season beat away newcomer in this prestigious competition Bursa 3:0 to collect four points in the first two rounds of Group A. Turkish side debuted in nice atmosphere in front of their 400 fans but double European champion showed why it is considered as the main candidate for the new crown.

It could say that opening encounter determined the whole game. Former Fenerbahce`s player HU Melek started excellent against Georgina POTA having two sets in her favour but guest answered by three sets in a row all three reached by a narrow margin.

Bronze medalist from recent 2015 LIEBHERR ITTF European Championships at Ekaterinburg Polina MIKHAILOVA had no power to stop Berlin`s no. 1 SHAN Xiaona. Runner-up of 2013 ECH at Schwechat won this clash in straight games.

In the third match Petrissa SOLJA secured the victory for German champion defeating Maria DOLGIKH in the same style like SHAN did previously.
