DE NUTTE Dominates Luxembourg National Championships, GLOD Stages Comeback to Upset MLADENOVIC

The 2025 edition of the Luxembourg National Table Tennis Championships took place at the Coque in Luxembourg City. Last year’s individual champions, Tessy GONDERINGER and Maël VAN DESSEL, did not participate.

Sarah DE NUTTE delivered a stellar performance throughout the weekend, claiming her 11th women’s singles title. She also secured gold in women’s doubles with Annick STAMMET and in mixed doubles alongside Luka MLADENOVIC. In the women’s singles final, the 32-year-old proved her class by defeating 17-year-old talent Enisa SADIKOVIC in straight sets—without dropping a single set throughout the tournament.

The men’s singles final once again featured the classic showdown between Luka MLADENOVIC and Eric GLOD. After trailing 1–3, GLOD mounted an impressive comeback, adjusting his game and winning three consecutive sets to capture his fifth national title in singles.

MLADENOVIC, who aimed to win all three events, had to settle for men’s doubles gold with Loris STEPHANY. The pair overcame Irfan CEKIC and Evgheni DADECHIN in a tightly contested final.

In mixed doubles, DE NUTTE and MLADENOVIC added another title to their resumes. After a challenging quarterfinal against Martine SIMON and Louis GIRA, the duo didn’t drop another set en route to the championship.
