Everybody had expected this result because an analytical error in the A sample is rather rare. OVTCHAROV can now request a hearing at DTTB’s Executive Board. The Board gathers all information and hears experts. It can then decide to institute proceedings at the DTTB Board of Anti-Doping. This board evaluates all facts again and takes a decision. The German National Anti-Doping Agency the Institute of Biochemistry and the DTTB support Ovtcharov’s plans to have his hair analysed as well. OVTCHAROV assumes that he inwittingly ingested clenbuterol during a stay in China in the middle of August. An hair analysis could prove that he ingested the substance only for a short while. A hair analysis takes several days. Whether his teammates coaches and DTTB officials who joined him in China will give hair samples as well is depending on OVTCHAROV’s result. I like meat very much I eat it every day and hotel in which I ate it was good”. – Last question was about possibility to be suspended for two years.“In that case my career will be destroyed.
