, The Tamanneftegas Europe Cup Men’s Final in Varazdin commences on Tuesday, 12th May in Varazdin Arena where the European Under 21 Championships was held in February last year before the Covid outbreak. Top seeded German’s club Post SV Mühlhausen 1951 E.V. leads at the list of 13 teams. In Varazdin also plays: TTC Enfireex Ostrava (Czech Republic), AS Pontoise Cergy (France), Top Spin Messina (Italy), SPG Walter Wels (Austria), Irun Leka Enea Marpex (Spain), CSS-SZAK Odorheiu Secuiesc (Romania), PTE Peac Kalo-Meh (Hungary), TTSC UMMC-Elem (Russia), Asisa Borges Vall (Spain), STK Libertas Marinkolor (Croatia), Top Spin Messina (Italy), SK Vydrany (Slovakia) and Solex-Consult Wiener Neustadt (Austria). Club from Germany with international stars Daniel HABESOHN of Austria, Ovidiu IONESCU of Romania, Lubomir JANCARIK of Czech Republic as well as Germany’s Steffen MENGEL stands firmly at the list of top favorites for the title. “We finished the Bundesliga at the position no. 9 this season and here we are in the good shape. Our goal here is to win the title, but it will not come easy. Pontoise Cergy, Enfireex Ostrava and Top Spin Messina are the favorites as well. We did not have an opportunity to play against these clubs, but we know the players,” stated IONESCU. One thing that puts extra pressure at the Europe Cup is the format of play. “It is not any more the-home-and-away system of matches. Now, one match format offers less possibilities – no one will get another chance if they lose. “ Daniel HABESOHN played in Portugal at the European Olympic Singles Qualifications three weeks ago. “I needed some time to put a focus on club’s event after I came from Portugal. It was only the last week when I set my mind only on this competition, but I am satisfied with my shape and overall performance of the club,” explained HABESOHN. “We are here not only to participate, we are here to win the tournament.” Austria’s player also praised the adversaries at the tournament. “There are a lot of experienced and good players here, like Patric BAUM from Pontoise. However, I think that our team has the most leveled line up, concerning quality. On all positions we have very strong players and we will have an opportunity to make variations and a lot of combinations with the draw and to choose players who has best response to the adversaries on the other side,” explained HABESOHN. The Round one in Group stage commences tomorrow at 10 AM.

Another title for KTS Enea Siarkopol Tarnobrzeg
, KTS Enea Siarkopol Tarnobrzeg defended the Polish Champion title and for last 31 years the club reached the top position at the medal rostrum for the 30th time. In the final they overcame team Wrocław with Natalia BAJOR and Anna and Katarzyna WĘGRZYN twins. “We are very happy because of the “jubilee title” said Zbigniew NĘCEK who started to work in Tarnobrzeg in 1987. “It was strange season for everyone, we focused on Polish League this year but we believe we will participate in Champions League in the future in normal, non pandemic conditions. This historical title was possible only thanks to great atmosphere in our team – our stars: HAN Ying, Elizabeta SAMARA and Viktoria PAVLOVICH worked together perfectly, always helped each other as well as the rest of the team. They are individuals but work great as a one team which had the one goal. I am thankful to them for such good atmosphere and wonderful season. Last 31 years was not an easy time, I had to win many battles; my team survived bad times, but for players who were a part of the team sport goal was always on the first place. Even in toughest economical moments we played for the biggest trophies”.

SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin in pursuit for medal
, SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin of Czech Republic arrived in Novi Sad with the high hopes for the medal at the Tamanneftegas Europe Cup Women Final to be played from Amanitas 6th to 9th May. “We are coming to Novi Sad without our Asian players, that means Natailia PARTYKA, Solomiya BRATEYKO, Markéta ŠEVČÍKOVÁ and two junior national team players Linda ZÁDĚROVÁ and Anna KLEMPEREROVÁ.The team is in a good shape, we have just won our quarter-finals series in Czech league 5:0 and 5:1, which was good preparation for the tournament. Solomiya played also well in Olympic qualification in Portugal and Linda with Markéta had good results in Czech women national team tournament, so it seems we are prepared well for Europe cup, “ explained SKST Stavoimpex Hodonín coach Jaroslav MIKESKA. MIKESKAS’ optimism has a good base. “Now in 2021 there are no restrictions for professional players, so the Covid situation didn’t affect our trainings. It affected only our national league, because the regular season was only one rounded and not two as usual. But I think the situation should not have big affection for the Europe cup.” The aspirations are therefore high. “We are coming with hopes of fighting for a medal position in Europe cup, although we won’t have Sakura MORI as we had in the Champions league in last December. But this is a chance for some of our young players to play hard matches against best in Europe. However, for sure we are aware of a strength of all teams competing in Novi Sad, so first we need to concentrate to go through group stage and then we will see,” concluded MIKESKA. SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin (Czech Republic) leads the standings in Grouyp D followed by ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari (Italy) and Asea Sarises Florinas (Greece).
