NAUMI and DONNER retain titles in Tampere

Alex NAUMI and Marina DONNER claimed the singles titles at the Finnish National Championships in Tampere.

The weekend in Tampere saw defending champions hold their ground, with both NAUMI and DONNER once again confirming their dominance on the national stage.

In the men’s singles, NAUMI secured his third national title after a thrilling seven-game final against Aleksi RÄSÄNEN. The closely contested match featured several long rallies, with NAUMI eventually prevailing 4-3. On his way to the title, he maintained a high level throughout the tournament, while bronze medals went to Otto TENNILÄ and Lassi LEHTOLA.

In the women’s singles, DONNER continued her dominance of the decade, capturing another national title with a 4-2 victory over Aleksandra TITIEVSKAJA in the final. Maria GIRLEA and Anni BÖLENIUS completed the podium.

NAUMI also added a second gold medal in men’s doubles alongside RÄSÄNEN, while DONNER claimed the women’s doubles title with GIRLEA. In mixed doubles, Matias OJALA and TITIEVSKAJA secured the title.
