ETTU and L’Équipe extend media partnership to boost European table tennis until 2028

The European Table Tennis Union is pleased to announce the renewal of its media partnership with L’Équipe, one of France’s leading sports media groups, securing broadcast coverage of major ETTU events for the 2026, 2027 and 2028 seasons.

This agreement represents an important milestone in ETTU’s long-term media strategy, ensuring strong visibility for European table tennis across key markets and strengthening the sport’s presence on free-to-air television and digital platforms.

Pedro MOURA, ETTU President, said: “We are thrilled to renew our agreement with L’Équipe for the ETTU TV rights in France, Monaco, Andorra and Mauritius. This renewal confirms the continuous growth of table tennis in Europe and strengthens the visibility of our sport on one of the most important sports media platforms in the region. Coverage will also be available in France including DROM-COM, allowing us to reach a broad and diverse audience.”

Through this renewed cooperation, ETTU events will once again be broadcast across L’Équipe, the nationwide free-to-air television channel, as well as L’Équipe live, the OTT streaming service, and the digital platforms lequipe.fr and the L’Équipe mobile and connected-TV applications.

This multi-platform distribution ensures extensive exposure for European table tennis and provides fans with easy access to the continent’s most prestigious competitions.

Céline CHANAT, Director of Content and TV Channels, Groupe L’Équipe, said: “We are proud to renew our partnership with ETTU, which reflects the trust placed in la chaine L’Équipe and the consistency of our editorial strategy: making major competitions in fast-growing sports accessible to the widest possible audience. Broadcasting European table tennis competitions demonstrates our long-term commitment to a spectacular, demanding and popular sport. Already a broadcaster of a major global circuit, L’Équipe confirms with these European rights its position as the reference broadcaster for table tennis in France.”

Under the renewed agreement, L’Équipe will broadcast the following ETTU competitions: ETTU CCB Europe Top 16 Cup, ETTU Champions League Final 4 Men, ETTU Champions League Final 4 Women, ETTU European Individual Championships and ETTU European Team Championships.

The first event covered under the new cycle will be the ETTU CCB Europe Top 16 Cup in Montreux, which will be commented by Rémi DOS SANTOS and Tanguy LE SEVILLER, joined by Laura PFEFER and Tristan FLORE as expert consultants. For the biggest tournaments and live finals broadcast on la chaine L’Équipe, Messaoud BENTERKI will host the studio coverage.
