Italy’s Francesco TREVISAN won the Under 15 Boys’ Event at the Europe Top 10 in Tours, France, completing the tournament with a perfect record of nine wins from nine matches. The Italian added another success to his already strong 2025 season, following his medals at the European Youth Championships (EYC) in Ostrava earlier this year.
The podium was completed by Görkem ÖÇAL of Türkiye, who finished second, and Mark GERGELY of Hungary, who placed third. Kenan KAHRAMAN of Türkiye came close to a medal, finishing fourth by just one point.
TREVISAN, who won gold in the Team and Doubles events and bronze in Singles at the EYC, showed solid and consistent form throughout the two days in Tours. He maintained control in his matches and managed the pressure well in the decisive moments, especially during his seven-game win against Jan MRUGALA of Poland.
TREVISAN started the competition confidently with wins over Quentin SANDONA (France) and Lenard SZABO (Hungary). He later defeated Kenan KAHRAMAN and Mark GERGELY, confirming his position at the top of the standings before the final round. In his closing match, he overcame Görkem ÖÇAL of Türkiye 4–2 to complete his clean sweep.
Görkem ÖÇAL, silver medalist in singles at the EYC, secured second place in Tours with six wins and three defeats. He played a number of long and competitive matches, including a seven-game win over Kenan KAHRAMAN in the opening round.
His teammate KAHRAMAN continued his good form, recording several key wins against higher-seeded opponents such as MRUGALA and GERGELY, finishing just outside the top three.
Mark GERGELY took third place with six wins and three losses. His results were built on consistent performance across all rounds, including victories over SZABO and RINDERER.
