Applications for the 2025 Edition of “My Gender. My Strength.”

The ITTF Sports Development launched the 2025 edition of the “My Gender. My Strength.” project, a Member Association Assistance initiative focused on Women’s Development in Table Tennis. This impactful program is designed to empower female coaches and promote gender equality in table tennis, helping to elevate their role from grassroots to leadership levels within the sport.

Recognizing sport as a powerful platform for social change, the project aims to enhance and advance women’s participation in table tennis, by supporting ambitious and dedicated female coaches as they grow into influential leaders in their respective Member Associations and beyond.

Project Objectives

  • To encourage Member Associations to identify and support promising female coaches.
  • To offer selected coaches opportunities for theoretical education, practical coaching experience, and leadership development.
  • To build strong networks among female coaches both locally and internationally.
  • To create a long-lasting, positive impact on the involvement of women and girls in table tennis.

What the Project Offers

Selected candidates will receive comprehensive support, including:

  • Coverage of costs related to group mentoring sessions.
  • Support for participation in development activities such as the ITTF Hopes Program or Youth Training Camps.
  • Funding towards organizing a Women and Girls Training Camp in their Member Association.

Project Implementation – Three-Stage Approach

  1. Theoretical Knowledge – Learning from top-level experts in coaching.
  2. Practical Experience – Gaining hands-on experience by participating in selected ITTF activities.
  3. Leadership and Management – Organizing and leading a 3-day Women and Girls Training Camp, including educational sessions for fellow coaches.

Who Can Apply?

Each Member Association may nominate one female coach who meets the following criteria:

  • Active or recently retired coach or elite athlete with at least two years of coaching experience.
  • Holds a national coaching qualification or ITTF coaching certification.
  • Has participated in relevant ITTF programs .
  • Communicates effectively in English and is motivated to develop professionally.
  • Supported by their Member Association with a motivational video endorsement.
