The 2025 Greek National Championships concluded on March 24 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, wrapping up an intense three-day tournament. Ioannis SGOUROPOULOS and Katerina TOLIOU were crowned national champions in the men’s and women’s singles events, respectively.
Olympiacos star Ioannis SGOUROPOULOS continued his reign of dominance by winning his fourth consecutive men’s singles title. In a thrilling final, he overcame teammate George STAMATOUROS 4-3 (7-11, 11-9, 11-7, 5-11, 10-12, 11-8, 11-7), solidifying his status as Greece’s top male player.
Katerina TOLIOU (Panathinaikos) returned to the top of the women’s singles podium for the first time since 2021, defeating defending champion Konstantina PARIDI 4-2 (11-5, 11-9, 8-11, 6-11, 11-6, 11-6). It was her fifth career singles title, and she added a second gold later in the day, winning the women’s doubles with club teammate Ioanna GERASIMATOU.
In the men’s doubles, Tasos RINIOTIS and George STAMATOUROS (Olympiacos) defeated the pair of SGOUROPOULOS and Ioannis VLOTINOS 3-1 in the final. In mixed doubles, George KONSTANTINOPOULOS and Konstantina PARIDI (Panathinaikos) won gold with a 3-1 victory over Stathis MANOLOPOULOS and Dimitra-THOMAIS TSEKOURA.
