Belgium “Series A” championships on Sunday at Louvain-la-Neuve

06/03/2010 – Louvain-La-Neuve on Sunday will host the 78th Individual National Championships in Belgium. The A listers of Belgium’s table tennis will compete in Men’s and Women’s Events. Titleholders Jean-Michel SAIVE and Laurence https://www.ettu.org

06/03/2010 – Louvain-La-Neuve on Sunday will host the 78th Individual National Championships in Belgium. The A listers of Belgium’s table tennis will compete in Men’s and Women’s Events. Titleholders Jean-Michel SAIVE and Laurence JUNKER are main favorites once again. If SAVE defends the title it will be his 22nd from 1985.
There are 32 entries in men’s Event including 15 Series A (of a possible 27) and 23 in Women’s with 9 A (of 18 possible).

Directly in the main draw (in the Round of 16 in men’s Event and in the quarterfinals in Women’s Event ) entered Jean-Michel SAIVE Yannick VOSTES Benjamin ROGIERS Marc CLOSSET Damien DELOBBE C?ric MERCHEZ Kilomo VITTA Lauric JEAN in Men’s and Karen OPDENCAMP Laurence JUNKER Daria MITYUKOVA and Elena SHMIGELSKAIA in Women’s Event.

In Louvain-La-Neuve will also play Martine HUBERT champion for the last time in 2001 and Natalya SMIRNOVA wife of the Villette ex-player Alexei SMIRNOV.

Group stages are scheduled for Sunday from 9:30. The Round of 16 from 1 PM and the finals are scheduled at 5PM.
