Lithuania: three titles for Ruta PASKAUSKIENE in Kaunas

07/03/2010 – On 5-7th of March was held jubilar – 80th Lithuanian table tennis championship. Championship took place in second largest city of Lithuania Kaunas. After 3 years break Ruta PASKAUSKIENE participated in the national championship and as anyone had no doubt – she won. In the final she met Lina MISIKONYTE and succeeded – 4:2. Third place won by Ieva JUCEVICIUTE.

In men’s singles Kestutis ZEIMYS won national champion title for the first time. He beat Alfredas UDRA in seven sets fight. UDRA was leading 10:7 in the last game but could not win a point after that. ZEIMYS won 4:3 and last set – 12:10. Third place won Gintautas JUCHNA.

European champion of 2008 Ruta PASKAUSKIENE became absolute champion of Lithuania. Apart from she won women singles also took gold medals in doubles and mixed doubles. Ruta playing in a pair with Misikonyte in the final beat Ingrida PREIDZIUTE and Ramune ARMONAITE 3:2. In mixed doubles Paskauskiene and Matas SKUCAS won 3:0 against Egle STUCKYTE and Tonetas DOMEIKA.

Men’s doubles champions became Audrius KACERAUSKAS and Mindaugas SIMANAITIS. 2nd place took Juchna and Zeimys
