National Championships: a livelong sport event in Danish Odense

01/03/2012 – 90 players participate in the 70. Danish Championships this weekend in Odense. All the best players except Michael MAZE will fight for the medals. Last year Kasper STERNBERG won the Danish title for the first time. He beat Finn TUGWELL

01/03/2012 – 90 players participate in the 70. Danish Championships this weekend in Odense. All the best players except Michael MAZE will fight for the medals. Last year Kasper STERNBERG won the Danish title for the first time. He beat Finn TUGWELL who has been in the last nine finals. Seeded 3 and 4 are Allan BENTSEN and Jonathan GROTH . Allan BENTSEN is the most successful player with 45 titles. Furthermore he had won three team titles in Sweden and 5 team titles in Croatia.

In the women’s singles Mie SKOV is top favorite to win her eight titles in a row. In the men’s doubles event Allan BENTSEN and Finn TUGWELL are last year’s winners. They has succeeded in the match against the silver medalists from Ostrava Jonathan GROTH and Kasper STERNBERG In mixed doubles Mie SKOV and Allan BENTSEN have won titles eight years in a row and they are huge favorites to win their 9th title.
