05/03/2012 – Nicola MOHLER clinched his fourth title in a row while it was the second for Rachel MORET after 2009. In the final Mohler overcame former World number 63 Thierry MILLER 4:0. The double Rachel MORET and Rahel ASCHWANDEN ended with the same result.

MOHLER said: “My opponents did not make it easy for me. In the quarter-final I faced strong resistance by the young Linus TRUMMLER and also Denis JOSET played well in the semi-final.” MORET was very happy after the championship; she took also the gold medal in double and mixed. “In the final against Rahel the serves were very important and in this field I was better today.” The biggest surprise happened in the men doubles event. 15-year-old Lionel WEBER and 17-year-old Philip MERZ overcame the reigning champions Christian HOTZ an Nicola MOHLER in a thrilling match with 3:2.
