Joniskis hosted 83rd National championship of Lithuania. Competition was fierce and after three days of spiriting battles new champions are crowned.

This year for the first time National champion in Women’s singles event become Egle STUCKYTE. In the final with a result 4:0 (11:7, 11:9, 11:6, 11:2) she won against Aiste MACAITE. The third place went to Lina MARTINKE (Panevezys) and Vitalija VENCKUTE (Kaunas).

For the first time champion in Men’s singles event became Tomas MIKUTIS. In the final he fought against Kestutis ZEIMYS and won with the result 4:3 (11:8, 12:10, 11:13, 7:11, 13:11, 6:11, 11:9). The third place shared Valdas MARTINKUS and Gintautas JUCHNA.

In Women’s doubles champion title clinched Ieva VENSLAVICIUTE and Aukse GECEVICIUTE . In finals they won 3:1 (7:11, 11:8, 11:9, 11:9) against Aiste MACAITE and Ausra STIRBYTE. Third place shared Vitalija VENCKUTE with Ugne BASKUTYTE and Egle STUCKYTE with Egle ORLOVAITE.

Men’s doubles champions are Matas SKUCAS and Matas VILKAS. They won 3:2 (12:10, 4:11, 9:11, 11:8, 11:4) against Tomas MIKUTIS and Valdas MARTINKUS. With third place were happy Kestutis ZEIMYS with Vytas RYBAKAS and Manfredas UDRA with Alfredas UDRA.

Mixed Doubles champions became Egle STUCKYTE with Tonetas DOMEIKA. Second place was taken by Gintautas JUCHNA and Egle ORLOVAITE. Aukse GECEVICIUTE with Algirdas SKIRGAILA and Monika TAMULIONYTE with Vytas RYBAKAS shared third place.
