In Buzau Germany recorded very good victory in the JOOLA European Championships Qualifications. Girls succeeded against Romania and the back bone of their success was young Petrissa SOLJA.

“3:2 in Romania is a very good result for us. I am happy for Petrissa SOLJA, that she did so well. She is playing constantly on a high level now. SHAN Xiaona was a little bit nervous in the beginning, because it was her first match for Germany. We are happy with the result, now we don’t have any pressure in the last match against Russia,” said Jie SCHOEPP.

After Tuesday evening Germany has mixed emotions. Women’s team won, but men’s failed in Setubal.

Jоrg ROSSKOPF: “Steffen MENGEL played today unbelievable good. He is working very hard and now he is earning the results. Ricardo WALTHER is playing without self confidence since some weeks. He has to learn that he can only come out of this valley with hard practice and fighting. But we are not unhappy that we lost against Portugal. Portugal is the second best team in Europe and we use the EC Qualification for giving young players a chance. I am sure Portugal will also be a strong opponent for our best team at the European Championships 2013.”
