The ultimate game in 2012/2013 Women’s European Champions League will take a place this Saturday at Linz, between Austrian Linz AG Froschberg and Hungarian Budaorsi 2i SC (20h15 CET, live and free on LAOLA1.tv. Austrian side won 3:1 (10:7) at the city of Budaors, coming very close to its second WECL crown, after 2009.

Despite big advantage, Froschberg`s manager Gunther RENNER warns his girls, speaking about recent football`s Champions League Round of 16 rematch…“We will not underestimate Budaorsi. Bayern Munich beat Arsenal 3:1 in 1st away leg but lots at home 2:0”.

However, London club was eliminated, due to football rules (away goal worth more than home one). But, in table tennis case, Hungarian side needs at least 3:1 victory and better set-ratio than 10:7.

Although Froschberg tries to be careful, it`s clear that everyone in the club is ready for big celebration. Beside cheerleaders, Linz organizes Tombola for the fans and also LIU Jia`s book – “Beijing – Linz and back” will be presented. One night club is already reserved for the big party.

LIU Jia and Iveta VACENOVSKA were a part of winning squad four years ago, whilst two promising players Petrissa SOLJA and Sofia POLCANOVA are ready for their first WECL crown.

Regarding Budaorsi 2i SC, they already overcame their own expectations, playing for the very first time in WECL final. The city of Budaors is proud on its table tennis girls, no matter what will happen at Linz.

First leg of WECL final 2012/2013: Budaorsi 2i SC – Linz AG Froschberg 1:3
Sandra PERGEL – LIU Jia 2:3 (11:9, 11:8, 5:11, 12:14, 11:13)
Dora MADARASZ – Iveta VACENOVSKA 3:1 (7:11, 11:8, 12:10, 11:3)
Cornelia MOLNAR – Petrissa SOLJA 0:3 (6:11, 7:11, 11:13)
Sandra PERGEL – Iveta VACENOVSKA 2:3 (11:9, 9:11, 6:11, 11:7, 7:11)
