Balkan Youth Championships started today in Serbia’s town of Kikinda. Whole region, 9 countries send their representatives for four days competition. At the opening day the Team’s event were on program. After first rounds Romania and Serbia dominated.

In Junior Boys Teams Event Daniel DAN, Sedan ORAZALI and Alin SPELBUS concluded the group stage unbeaten. Montenegro, Bulgaria and Albania all suffered by the hands of top seeds. In Group B Serbia’s Ivor KATIC, Valentine NADJNEMEDI and Nikola STRUGAREVIC upset the favorites and overcame Turkey to secure top position.

Romania’s Bianca CRISAN, Diana LUPU and Bogdana TRIFU are in Kikinda. Even without top names from the team, they dominate the region. Bulgaria and Bosnia and Hercegovina lost their encounters against them. In Group B Serbia’s Anna FENJVESI, Ivana VEJNOVIC and Aneta MAKSUTI showed their ready for the European Championships latter this month in Ostrava. Turkey, Montenegro and FYR Macedonia, all failed to win even one individual match.

Cadet Boys from Romania Cristian PLETEA and Rares SPIROS showed no mercy in duels against Bulgaria and Montenegro. In Group B Turkey justified their leading position. Abdullah Talha YIGENLER and Batuhan ULUCAK veat Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

in Cadet Girls Teams Event Romania’s Mihaela PLAEASU and Andreea DRAGOMAN overcame representatives from Bulgaria and Montenegro. Host nation is at the top of Group B. Izabela LUPULESKU and Sabina SURJAN beat Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
