The draw for the 56th European Youth Table Tennis Championships (12th to 21st July) to be held in Ostrava was conducted today in Luxembourg. In Czech Republic 36 teams will participate in Junior Boys Teams Event, 36 in Junior Girls, 41 in Cadet Boys and 40 in Cadet Girls Event.

In Junior Boy’s teams event reigning champions France is at the top of the Group A. They will play against last year’s quarterfinalist Croatia, Russia and Belgium. In Group B Hungary holds top position. They will face Italy, Netherlands and Slovakia. Bronze medallists from Schwechat, Poland is in Group C with Portugal, Sweden and Austria. Runners up from Austria last year, Germany are at the top of Group D with Czech Republic, Romania and Serbia.

In Junior Girls Team’s Event last year crowned champions Romania topping the Group A. There are also Serbia, Sweden and Netherlands. Bronze medallists from Germany are at the top of Group B with Croatia, Czech Republic and Greece. France played in quarters last year. Now they are the leading nation in Group C. There are also Belarus, Turkey and Hungary. Runners up Russia is in Group D with Poland, Slovakia and Italy.

Their journey toward another success France will start in Group A of the Cadet Boy’s Teams Event. Germany, Slovenia and Hungary are in the same Group. In Group B is Russia with Austria, Sweden and Estonia. In Group C are Romania, Denmark, Italy and Moldova. Poland topping Group D with Czech Republic, Belgium and Turkey.

In cadet Girls Teams Event Romania is the top seed. They are in Group A with Belarus, Slovenia and Greece. In Group B, France will play against Croatia, Sweden and Latvia. Germany, top seed in Group C will face challenge coming from Poland, Hungary and Ukraine. In Group D Russia topping the list, with Serbia, Portugal and Israel at the list above.
