Olimpia-Unia Grudziądz and KTS Zamek Tarnobrzeg won the titles in Polish national Championships.

Olimpia-Unia Grudziądz beat Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki 3:0 to win club’s third polish national championship. For Bogoria this is third silver medal in Wschodzący Białystok Superliga.

In third, decisive game last Thursday guests’ hero was Croat Tomislav KOLAREK who overcame in first game Dartom Bogoria’s leader Daniel GÓRAK 3:1. Then Chinese Taipei’s HUANG Sheng-Sheng beat Paweł FERTIKOWSKI 3:0. Bartosz SUCH sent his team to heaven by beating Robert FLORAS 3:1. Olimpia-Unia Grudziądz won play-off final 2:1.

“We deserved this gold medal. We beat Bogoria for the third time this season and it happened in the most important moment. This is our best year having won national championships and reached ETTU Cup semifinal. I hope this is only beginning of Olimpia-Unia’s Grudziądz success”, admitted coach Piotr SZAFRANEK.

Daniel GORAK said: “I am responsible for the defeat, because I lost to KOLAREK and this game was the crucial point of entire match. However, we are satisfied about the season, because we have won two silver medals – in polish league and in ETTU Cup. We have to wait for the fifth national title until next year. We will again try to set Grodzisk Mazowiecki as a Polish table tennis capital.”

KTS Zamek Tarnobrzeg has won Polish Title for 22nd time, and 7th in a row. The club did not lose any match and after ETTU Cup it is another good result in this year. KTS Zamek Tarnobrzeg beat in final matches GLKS Nadarzyn 3:0 and 3:0
