Simon GAUZY and LI Xue new champions

Beautiful sport complex Jacques Clouche d’Agen celebrated new French champions. Simon GAUZY and LI Xue are new senior national title winners. Simon GAUZY also emerged victoriously in men’s Doubles Event with Emmanuel LEBESSON. YUAN Jianan and Aurore DESSA,

LI Xue clinched the title for the third time after she already did it in 2010 and 2009 by defeating YUAN Jianan in the final.

Simon GAUZY overcame Abdel-Kader SALIFOU. The young 18 year old player showed a lot of confidence before the World Championships.

“It feels so good! After my injury in 2012, I took some time to come back but I managed. I am really glad I did it. In the final, I played on incredible level and Abdel-Kader SALIFOU also deserved it as much as me. This title will give me a lot of confidence for the future,” said GAZY.

LI Xue said she expected very hard match.” I played very well. After my quarterfinal against Alice ABBAT yesterday in seven games, I wanted to prove I deserved that win. I am very satisfied. “
