Simon GAUZY clinched the title at the U21 Boys Singles Event at the GAC Group 2013 ITTF World Tour Polish Open in Spala. In the final French player overcame Takuya JIN of Japan.

In semi final Liam PITCHFORD of England suffered by the hands of JIN whilst GAUZY overcame HUNG Tzu-Hsiang of Taipei. LIN Ye of Singapore beat Japan’s Mima ITO in the final of the Girls U21 Event.

JEON Jihee and PARK Seonghye of Korea had emerged victorious in the Women’s Doubles gold medal contest. They had overcome the fourth seeded German partnership of ZHENQI Barthel and SHAN Xioana the fourth seeds in the final.

FAN Zhendong of China beat compatriot ZHOU Yu in the Men’s Singles final whilst SEO Hyowon of Korea overcame SHENG Dandan of China in Women’s Singles Event.
