Romanian player Valeria BORZA died today at the age of 29. She was playing for French club Lyssois Lille -Métropole in Pro A. This morning BORZA was preparing to spend Christmas holiday at home but she started to suffer for severe headache. Valeria was not able to take the bus to the airport at Charleroi. Alerted about the state of his player Christian BRIFFEUIL president of Lyssois club called the emergency service.

Valy as she is known within the club for ten years was transported to Victor Provo Roubaix where she was admitted in hospital. With meningitis whose origin is not yet determined the young woman died at 17h15.

Of course all precautions were immediately taken starting with the regional health agency and people she was in contact in past week. Christian BRIFFEUIL has contacted the Italian team of Zeus Sardinia who had played against Borza on Friday in the ETTU Cup and Metz club’s opponent in French league.

The ETTU wishes to express its deepest condolences to the family and Lyssois Lille -Métropole club.
