Luxembourg: CIOCIU and DE NUTTE on the top

Newly crowned national champions in Luxembourg are Traian CIOCIU and Sarah DE NUTTE. Both fully deserved the titles dominating in the finals. Men’s winner lost just one set (from Christian KILL in quarter final) on his winning path beating in the final

Newly crowned national champions in Luxembourg are Traian CIOCIU and Sarah DE NUTTE. Both fully deserved the titles dominating in the finals. Men’s winner lost just one set (from Christian KILL in quarter final) on his winning path beating in the final reigning champion Gilles MICHELY in straight games.

The winning double’s team mates concluded Women’s Singles Event playing one against another as Sarah DE NUTTE overcame last season’s runner-up Tessy GONDERINGER 4:1 (11:8  7:11 11:6 11:7 11:6). Both had tough semi-final encounters in six sets.

In Men’s Doubles Event last season’s finalists had changed their places on the podium. Now Gilles MICHELY / Mike BAST were better than Christian KILL / Fabien SIMON 3:2 (7:11 11:8 11:6  9:11 11:6).

Sarah DE NUTTE and Tessy GONDERINGER successfully defended their Women’s Doubles crown beating Shari SCHAUS and Martine SIMON in straight games.

Last year’s champion s in Mixed Doubles Eric and Tessy GONDERINGER now were halted in the quarter final. They were replaced on the top by Eric GLOD and Martine SIMON.
